Office Hours

The core hours in which the Authority offices are open for public enquiries are set out below. These are the mimimum staffing hours and it is possible that your query may be answered outside these times on the contact numbers/email above.

Monday - Thursday: 8.30am - 5.00pm
Friday: 8.30am - 3.00pm

Our response standards

You can expect a response within two working days of receipt of a letter or email to the Police Authority.

In cases of a more complex request, we will acknowledge it within two days and you should expect a full response to any query within 20 working days.

Freedom of Information Requests

In terms of requests made under the Freedom of Information Act, the Authority is required to respond to your query promptly and no later than the twentieth working day following receipt. All requests made under FoI legislation will be acknowledged by return. If any costs are involved in processing your request, you will be informed before any costs are incurred.
