The Gender Agenda

The Authority believes in delivering police services with fairness and equality for the public of Cheshire and in promoting equality of opportunity between men and women.

We have published our Gender Equality Scheme and action plan to demonstrate how we intend to eliminate discrimination and harassment and improve policing services for men and women in Cheshire. The scheme has been developed in consultation with the public of Cheshire.

Whilst developing the Scheme we were able to gather information on public perceptions about a number of gender issues that affect the police service provided to the community.
This Scheme aims to promote equality of opportunity and improve confidence and satisfaction in policing services.
