Communication and Consultation

The Communication & Consultation Scrutiny Group was established by the Authority on 24 February 2009, to “map andreview community consultation and communication activities by statutory partners to inform the Authority’s Contact Plan.”

Partners included in the work of the Group were the “relevant” CDRP partners who also serve on the Local Strategic Partnership (Police, Fire Authority, Primary Care Trusts and Local Authority), and the Local Criminal Justice Board (LCJB) partners (HMCS, Probation and Prison Service).

As public services move towards achieving single performance measures relating to confidence and satisfaction to inform Local Area Agreement (LAA) targets and Comprehensive Area Assessments (CAA) there is a new focus on improving outcomes for local people and places, based on perceptions and feelings rather than processes.
