WEBCHAT HOSTED BY POLICE AUTHORITY CHAIRMAN AND CHIEF CONSTABLE

Fifty seven questions about policing in Cheshire came in during an hour-long webchat hosted by the Cheshire Police Authority Chairman, Margaret Ollerenshaw and Cheshire’s Chief Constable, Dave Whatton.

Topics covered included the policing budget, recruitment, drug crime and the user of twitter by Police Officers.  Most callers received an immediate response. Questions which were “timed out” are being answered retrospectively.

Margaret Ollerenshaw said, “It was an interesting event.  We are already sounding out public opinion through road shows and questionnaires on the website.  The webchat provided a different type of opportunity for people to let us know what they are concerned about.”
