Who We Are?

The Police Authority is made up of 17 Members, 9 of whom are local authority members nominated by the four Borough Councils within the Authority area, and 8 of whom are local people appointed by the Authority itself following public advertisement. 

The Authority makes no distinction between its Members, and all seek to make an effective contribution to the work of the Authority.  Members are supported by a small dedicated team of 8 staff, based at Constabulary Headquarters in Winsford, who provide a full range of support services to ensure that the Authority can effectively carry out its role.
