The Police Authority and the public rightly have expectations of how the staff of the Authority should behave. The attached Code is not intended to describe every situation but rather to set a framework which everyone can easily understand. They enable everybody to know what type of conduct by a member of police staff is acceptable and what is unacceptable.

The Authority's staff are required to declare any gifts or hospitality received which is over the value of £25. No such declarations have been made in the 2010/11 financial year.
